Shipping Map

This map has been published for the enjoyment of our clients, however at sometime in the future "Famous" may active this system so that family and friends of our angling parties may be able to see where "Wildcard" is sailing

The system is based on AIS (Automatic Identification System). As from December 2004, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) requires all vessels over 299GT to carry an AIS transponder on board, which transmits their position, speed and course, among some other static information, such as vessel’s name, dimensions and voyage details.
To use the map put your curser over it and then reposition, with the small map in the right hand corner, by clicking on the ships you can find all their details out. You can also view in satellite, map and other views. You can also use the Zoom out tool to sea the world map and so go to specific areas
.
Thanks to Google and marine traffic.com for their work in enabling this to be published on the "Famous" site
